Rena Sofer

  Rena Sherel, born on December 2nd 1968 is an American actress. She is best known for her roles in the daytime network, as well as episodic guest appearances and made-for-television movies. Sofer has been awarded a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her portrayal as Lois Cerullo of the soap drama General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 to 2022.





 Early life



 Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who was an Orthodox rabbi and Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau).





 Sofer moved with her brother David and her father to Teaneck (New Jersey) in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was located in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. In the following years, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is co-educational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was raised in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue rabbi Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, and then went to Montclair State College.





 Career



 Daytime television



 Sofer first appeared as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as a musician manager. Her first TV role was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap production that revolved around Loving (1988-91).
